| The land is still. A smoky, burning smell rests on the air, though the signs of the age-old fire of legend have practically disappeared altogether from Ashland. The grey, dusty sands of the Sabryn Gorge blow about in a spiral as the wind picks up, then dies down, the low, whistling sound heard throughout the ravine.
A hazy mist covers the land like a sheet as dusk falls, the sky above turning deep lavender as the stars emerge slowly, one by one. This land, full of mystery and magic, is home to the remnants of the exiled Moonrise Pack, and the wolves who join them, drawn to this place by the powers within their souls.
From the forests and meadowland surrounding the gorge, the melody of crickets and a Whippoorwill rise up in a midnight symphony, accompanying the trickling sounds of the river as it rushes across the land...Under the blanket of night lie the Ayzras, Alakyl and Kefrah, their pasts behind them, their futures ahead...
What secrets does this land hold, and who will unleash them?
Most important of all...what enemies beyond Soul's Ridge threaten to keep this pack from happiness forever?
| Season: Winter
The leaves of the trees have vanished, leaving their hosts bare and cold. Ashland is covered in a blanket of white, and game is more and more scarce by the day. All water is frozen save the quick-running brook, and its water seems to move sluggishly over the rocks, as if winter has slowed it too, to a slothlike pace.
